Opening Ceremony 29th June 2024
The Norton Community Hub was officially opened on 29th June 2024 by the High Sheriff of Powys, Lady Kathryn Silk JP in the presence of 70 invited guests, most of whom had some involvement in the planning and delivery of the project to adapt the former church.
There were also contributions from County Councillor Deb Edwards who reflected on the importance of the Hub to the Norton community, and Town Councillor John Wilding who thanked the many volunteers and professional associates who contributed to a successful outcome.
Drinks and canapés were served following the speeches, and entertainment was provided by Presteigne own shanty singers – The Press Gangers.
